Japan's Marui department store chain sends out 800,000 statements to its Epos credit card holders every month. By joining forces with Pitney Bowes, they turned these transactional mailings into a personalized marketing force. By using our data quality tools, the chain analyzed individual buying patterns, then used this data to add personalized, full-color promotions to their statements, highlighting

merchandise that would appeal to individual customers. By printing the promotions right on the statements, Marui eliminated the extra production and mailing costs of separate marketing pieces.
